Lawncare Help
Are you looking to directly serve a member of your community? Nashville CARES is in need of lawncare volunteers to help our clients! For anyone living with, or at risk for, HIV/AIDS, Nashville CARES is the premier HIV/AIDS agency in the region. We provide comprehensive education, a broad range of targeted services and effective advocacy, all in a highly personal, confidential and compassionate manner.
Many of our clients who are elderly, medically fragile, and/or homebound need of your help! Volunteers are needed throughout the warmer Nashville months to:
Mow lawns: regularly keep 1-3 clients yards mowed and neat.
Trim plants: some clients may bushes trimmed back or vines cut.
Weeding/gardening: some clients may occasionally need additional help with their gardens: laying mulch or weeding.
You will be matched to one or more clients (depending on your availability). Weekday or weekend doesn't matter, though we would prefer a volunteer who could help with yard maintenance throughout the summer, at least twice a month. Clients also don't always have their own tools, so if you can travel with your own mower, weedwhacker, and clippers, that would be amazing!
