Gardening Assistant
McKendree Village is located on 42 acres in the Heart of Hermitage. We have a 6 acre park and numerous areas where residents enjoy sitting outside.
We are looking for volunteers who don’t mind getting a little dirt under their fingernails. Help us plant flowers, weed flower beds, trim bushes, mulch, and create new beautiful spaces for our residents to enjoy. Come prepared to get dirty, wear comfy shoes and old clothes. Bringing tools is not required, we have tools available, but a good pair of gloves would be handy.
McKendree Village is a continuing care retirement community that cares for the needs of residents in all stages of elderly care. Our purpose is to advance the mission and objectives of McKendree Village and make life more pleasant for the residents through additional services designed to promote renewed spirit and interest in life.
Jane Schnelle will serve as coordinator. Any time during the week or weekend is available.
