Volunteer at the Cornelia Fort Pickin' Party
Do you want to listen to great live music while you volunteer?
Join us for the Cornelia Fort Pickin' Party - the family-friendly concert series benefiting Friends of Shelby Park and Bottoms.
We need assistance during the following shifts. If you're working the late shift, feel free to come early and enjoy the show before you work.
10 am to 12pm - setup
4:45 pm - 7:30 pm - entrance/gate
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Kids craft tent
7:00 pm - 8:45 pm - entrance/gate
7:00pm - 9:45pm - bar volunteer or Shelby Tent/tickets
9:45 pm - 10:15 pm: help move the plane and break down after the show
All volunteers will get an exclusive Friends of Shelby volunteer t-shirt to keep! Volunteers over 21 get a free drink ticket as well.

Founded in 2008, the Friends of Shelby is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation, enhancement, and promotion of Shelby Park and Shelby Bottoms. It works to protect the natural and historical integrity of the area by supporting appropriate recreational activities, maintaining and enhancing its features, promoting programs that inspire appreciation and conservation of Park and Bottoms, and advocating for a level playing field for the various user groups.
