Digital Inclusion Outreach Assistant - Hickory Hollow Towers
Do you enjoy working with technology? Are you interested in helping senior adults learn how to use a mobile device? We are seeking volunteers to help with Nashville Public Library’s Senior Tech Academy. The volunteer will work with a staffer to assist adults at the Center learning how to use an Android Tablet.
Our staffer needs help assisting adults learning basic digital skills, such as how to use a mouse and connecting to wi-fi. Classes will consist of primarily seniors, with 5-10 students per class. Patience is a must for anyone who is interested in helping.
The Nashville Public Library system consists of 20 branch libraries and a Main Library. Special features include: a collection of more than 1.3 million circulating items for all ages, and access to other libraries' collections through InterLibrary Loan; approximately 600 public-use computers, and Internet access; several special collections, including business, local history, and periodicals indexes; reference assistance available by telephone; on-going classes and programming for all ages; Metropolitan Government Archives; Special Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing; and the Talking Library, a radio reading service for the print disabled.
