Mass Care Shelter Volunteer Trainees Needed
The Red Cross is recruiting volunteers to prepare and respond and help communities during local disasters. The Red Cross will train all volunteers to help clients following a disaster. Some examples of disasters are: Home Fire, Flood or Tornado and sheltering.
Mass Care provides activities and services on a congregate basis to the community as a whole including feeding, sheltering, reunification, and distribution of emergency supplies (DES).
This position is responsible for the collaborative leadership of the Mass Care programs within the chapter in coordination with the Mass Care Regional Program Lead including
- Support the annual mass care goals and RDO objectives.
- Oversee and supervise Chapter/Territory Feeding, Sheltering, DES, Reunification Coordinators.
- Develop a plan for mass care services.
- Implement strategies, initiatives, processes, and procedures that support the successful chapter wide day-to-day provision of Mass Care services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local feeding, sheltering, distribution of emergency supplies, and reunification partners.
