Weed Wrangle at the Warner Parks
Join Friends of Warner Parks and the Harpeth Conservancy as we team up to protect native species and combat the spread of invasive plants. Learn more about how plants like honeysuckle and privet threaten native ecosystems and have some fun getting your hands dirty as we work to restore riparian buffer zones along the Little Harpeth River. We will be partnering to pull invasive plants in the morning followed by an afternoon focused on replanting the area with native trees.
Please disregard the address in your initial confirmation email, we will reach out the week of the event with your assigned location.
Weed Wrangle®-Nashville volunteers will learn, practice, and begin a habit of maintaining an area free of invasive plants. By engaging our neighbors and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we hope to create a movement that will have the greatest impact on the invasive plant population in the Nashville area.
Volunteers should wear comfortable long sleeves and pants and closed-toe shoes. Volunteers should bring a mask and water; snacks will be provided. Tools will be provided.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 13+, Minimum Age:18+
