Summer Camp Volunteer
Dates: June 1 - July 31, 2021
This summer we are holding a summer camp for our elementary and middle school aged children!
Nashville International Center for Empowerment (NICE) is a refugee resettlement agency located in Nashville, TN. Our mission is to empower immigrants and refugees to achieve their full potential now and for generations to come. Within the agency, the education department is a myriad of services operating under the same umbrella with a shared purpose, shared resources, and consistent methodology. Our program goal is to equip students with the skills and resources necessary to become life-long, self-regulating learners. We do this by offering integrated and concurrent activities that foster social emotional health, support academic achievement and English literacy, promote civic and cultural competency, and ensure workforce and post-secondary readiness. Other programs within our agency include immigration services, employment support, health case management, and the resettlement of refugees.
Are you interested in becoming a youth mentor? Does fostering self-confidence, self-awareness and academic excellence sound like an exciting challenge? The NICE Summer Youth program invites students across Nashville to participate in academic enrichment activities, games, art therapy classes, and much more.
There will be several sessions that you can sign up for between 9:30 PM and 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday between the dates of June 1 - July 31. It is preferred that you are able to volunteer once a week for at least one month.
Elementary School:
9:30 - 10:15
10:15 - 11:00
11:00 - 11:45
11:45 - 12:30
Middle School:
1:30 - 2:15
2:15 - 3:00
3:00 - 3:45
3:45 - 4:30
