Website Build for The Contributor
The Contributor is seeking GeekCause volunteers with WordPress experience to help them build out their new online newspaper. The ideal website would serve as a digital platform for their newspaper content, which is social justice driven, housing/homelessness focused, and features in depth reporting of the voices of those experiencing poverty in the Nashville area.
A professional website would give credibility to The Contributor’s content, which features many well-known Nashville and international journalists, while also providing a bigger audience to their larger mission. In addition to articles, the website needs to incorporate functions for:
- Fundraising campaigns
- E-Commerce for the gear store
- Subscriptions applications and give information on their vendor sales program, and housing program
As a member of the Institute of Nonprofit News, The Contributor has access to a free Word press theme geared to journalism, and already has graphics and content set up in place. https://largo.wpbuddy.co/ Additional technical assistance is needed in getting everything set up.
