Y-Literacy Tutoring
Become a volunteer reading tutor with the YMCA today! Y-Literacy provides free one-on-one tutoring to students grades K-5 who are assessed as reading below grade-level. Our volunteers undergo a straightforward training process to ensure they are comfortable before beginning-- All it takes is a willing heart and a smiling face!
At this time all tutoring is VIRTUAL.
Volunteers commit to working with their student once per week for 45 minutes for the entirety of a semester (typically 5-8 weeks). Virtual volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Thursday starting as early as 3:30pm or as late as 6:15pm (Summer hours available: 11:00am-7:00pm). Volunteers are paired with a student based on compatible availability.
