Education Volunteer Orientation
Do you love being outside? Enjoy working with kids? Come out to The Land Trust for Tennessee’s Glen Leven Farm this Fall to help host kindergarten and first grade students during a Field Study Visit! Volunteers must attend this orientation before helping with Field Studies from the end of September through November.
During the Field Study, students will rotate through four to five stations around the farm to help educate and inspire them to be our next generation of conservationists. Volunteers are responsible for leading an activity station including trees, history, garden, and farm animals.
Volunteers are required to attend a training and pass a background check. Please reach out with questions.

Hands On Nashville (HON) encourages all volunteers follow CDC guidelines by getting vaccinated and wearing a mask indoors, including at service opportunities.
However, this project is led by our partner organization, and they will determine COVID safety measures at the event. If you have questions, please reach out to the opportunity coordinator listed below.
If you feel unsafe at a volunteer project, please reach out to hon@hon.org or share your feedback in our post-service survey. Your feedback is invaluable – it will be shared with our partners and used to inform future policy decisions.
