BELL Garden Work Day
If you have joined us in the BELL this summer we want to thank you, it has been HOT AND HUMID! But the calendar says fall is not far off. We are hosting volunteers from 9 am - 12 noon every Saturday. Currently we are working to keep our summer crops well watered, weed free and continuing to produce; and we can certainly use your help! Our volunteers always have a great time, meet new people and usually learn something about gardening!
We have all the tools and used gloves for our volunteers but we do not have drinking water so please bring your own. Make sure to wear weather appropriate and dirt appropriate clothes and shoes, and you will probably want to spray yourself with some insect repellent!
We are very family friendly and we have ADA accessibility to portions of the Garden. Look forward to meeting you at the BELL!
Let’s Move! Outside
Volunteer hours associated with this project support the “Let’s Move! Outside” initiative, a nationwide effort to provide opportunities for young people to work, learn, play, and serve outdoors and on public lands. This effort is made possible through partnership between the YMCA of the USA, the Department of the Interior, American Express, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, Nashville’s Mayor Megan Barry, and Hands On Nashville.
