Opportunity Details
Meal Prep at The Nashville Food Project, Woodmont Kitchen
With over 3000 pounds of food coming into our kitchen every week, we need energetic and creative volunteers to help process this food for our meals program. We receive donations straight from the fields of our farmer friends and food gleaned from area grocers.
During meal prep volunteers can expect tasks such as washing and chopping fruits and vegetables, making salads, homemade salad dressings and creative healthy snacks. We work in partnership with 20+ organizations to provide 1500 nutritious meals to children, seniors, veterans, and families every week.
Aprons will be provided, and volunteers should wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty. Closed toe shoes are required.
