Eakin Elementary School - HON Day 2015
Pick up that paintbrush and grab those gloves; it’s time for Hands On Nashville Day! Join more than 1,500 volunteers at dozens of Metro Nashville Public Schools on Sept. 19 to help enhance learning environments for students!
As a volunteer, you may help:
• Construct garden beds
• Paint murals encouraging health and wellness
• Weatherstrip windows in classrooms
• Paint classrooms, hallways, and gymnasiums
• Landscape playgrounds and brighten equipment
• Organize classroom materials, and more…
Hands On Nashville Day is family-friendly. Youth ages 13 and older are invited to participate with an adult. Volunteers must be 18 or older to participate without an adult.
Volunteer Teams: Please remember to click “Sign up with a Team” when selecting a school site. Click here for help.
Dress for a Mess: Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Reusable water bottles are also encouraged.
Now in its 24th year, Hands On Nashville Day (HON Day), presented by The Grainger Foundation, is the community’s largest annual day of service benefiting Metro Nashville Public Schools!
