YVC: Sort Food at Second Harvest
Volunteers will be assisting Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. Activities will include sorting perishable foods. Volunteers will be working indoors, but must wear closed toe shoes and dress appropriately for working in a warehouse (pants, not shorts).
There are several volunteer projects at Second Harvest and may include refrigerated sorting. Please have everyone bring a sweatshirt in case we ask you to do a "cool" volunteer project!
This project is open to youth volunteers ages 12 to 18. All youth volunteers are required to have a Volunteer Liability Release Form on file prior to attending a HON Youth Volunteer Corps project. Please note: this form must only be completed one time, and will be kept on file by Hands On Nashville for future projects. When completing the form, a parent must be present to provide an e-signature.
This project does not qualify for court ordered community service hours. If you would like to sign up a group, please contact mhennessey@hon.org.
