Dining Out For Life - Help Us Raise Money By Eating Out!
Love our local restaurant scene? Want to get your community together for a great cause? Nashville CARES is seeking volunteers for Dining Out for Life on Tuesday, April 17th. Dining Out for Life is a one-day event when local restaurants donate a portion of food sales to Nashville CARES. And we are looking for volunteers to act as Restaurants Hosts! Hosts are partnered with a restaurant, and advertise to everyone they know to Dine Out. So gather your friends, family, co-workers and community members and help us fundraise! The more diners, the more money that Nashville CARES receives.
How to Become a Host
For anyone living with, or at risk for, HIV/AIDS, Nashville CARES is the premier HIV/AIDS agency in the region. We provide comprehensive education, a broad range of targeted services and effective advocacy, all in a highly personal, confidential and compassionate manner.
How to Become a Host
- Upon signing up, we'll find a restaurant that works for you: location-wise and schedule-wise (breakfast, lunch or dinner).
- There is also a time commitment (about an hour a week) the month leading up to the event. You will spend this time meeting with your restaurant contact to plan the night, as well as to advertise the event to your community.
- You'll receive a brief training a few weeks before, with topics including: how to advertise the event, fundraising techniques, and info about the day-of.
- You'll receive logos and suggestions about how to advertise your restaurant.
- The day of the event, you will spend the meal-time greeting all your diners and dining out as well if you like. Treat it like your own personal dinner party!
