Development & Event Planning Internship
The Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition (TBCC) is offering two internships for the Summer 2015 semester. The interns will work with TBCC staff to help with the planning and implementation of the 19th Annual Celebration of Life Golf Classic and Auction PAR-TEE. This event is the largest one-day charity golf tournament in the state of Tennessee. This internship is perfect for a student looking to gain event planning and fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector.
This opportunity is open to volunteers 18 and older.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Procuring silent auction items
- Advancing social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Intragram) strategies
- Event marketing and promotions
- Event planning logistics
- Pink Ribbon campaign administrative duties
- Database entry
- Public relations
- Volunteer engagement
- Self-motivated
- Flexible schedule
- Detail-oriented
- Cheerful and positive
- Possess solid oral and written communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of social media platforms
