FAQs

What is Nashville Volunteer Week?
From Oct. 21-27 Hands On Nashville is empowering every Nashvillian to sign up to volunteer! Check out Hands On Nashville’s volunteer calendar to see hundreds of opportunities with over 160 nonprofits, schools and civic organizations. Everyone who signs up to volunteer will automatically be entered to win a series of prizes.

Why Nashville Volunteer Week?
Nashville relies on volunteers. From caring for our unhoused community to serving in our schools to helping with nonprofit administrative tasks, volunteers power our community forward. Nashville Volunteer Week is empowering our community to step up and serve.

How do I volunteer?
Hands On Nashville makes it easy to find a volunteer project. Simply visit our online calendar, find the shift and time that works for you, and click “Sign up!” You can also search for volunteer opportunities that fit your interests by visiting our Custom Search page. You can filter by impact area, location, age-appropriate opportunities, group volunteer projects and more!

Is the Launch Party free?
Yes! Bring out your friends and family to learn from different nonprofits how you can best serve their needs. Food trucks will be available to purchase food and beverages.

Do volunteers have to sign up for a project during the week of Oct. 21-27?
Ideally, we’d like everyone to sign up for a project during that week, but the project does not have to take place during that week. It can be any time in the future.

How do I win a prize?
Sign up for ANY volunteer shift to win. You must sign up between Oct 21-27, but the shift can take place any time.
