Habitat for Humanity ReStore Deconstruction Volunteer
We need YOU! Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville is on a mission to build homes for families in Nashville. Our ReStores support our overall mission and they function with a small staff team. This is where you come in!
Use your skills, gain experience, and meet wonderful folks by joining us as a Deconstruction Volunteer. These volunteers help our Director of Deconstruction gently remove homeowners’ kitchens, bathrooms, cabinets, and appliances to be brought back to the ReStore and re-sold. Ride around in the Habitat box truck, get in some exercise, and have some fun.
This position does work hard loading/unloading and sometimes lifting over 50 lbs. You will only be asked to do what you feel comfortable with. This role not only gathers donations that help us build homes for families, it is also responsible for keeping around 100 tons or more a year out of local landfills! All necessary training will be provided.
We have flexible time commitments and will do our best to work with your schedule!

**Court Ordered Community Service? We can work with many forms of community service. We however cannot accomodate any service for predatory or theft related crimes. ALL people interested in court-ordered community service MUST complete an initial meeting with the volunteer coordinator and present paperwork indicating their charge and service requirements.
