Full Scale Disaster Drill
Metro Nashville Airport Authority needs volunteers of all ages volunteers to participate as "victims" in a mock plane crash, and to serve as "family" members for the family assistance portion of a full-scale disaster drill. This drill will allow first responders to practice their emergency readiness and lifesaving skills. Volunteers will need to check in at 7 a.m. to receive their assignments and will be briefed on how to act and what will happen once the drill begins. Adults, children accompanied by adults, and anyone over 16 with transportation and parental consent are welcome to participate. The actual drill is scheduled to take place from 9am to 12pm. Volunteers will be sitting/laying on the concrete surface of the runway or sitting in an aircraft, so wear comfortable clothing and bring minimal personal belongings. Volunteers will NOT be transported off property as in the past. Snacks, water, and lunch will be provided. Portable toilets will also be available.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 7+, Minimum Age:18+
