Weed Wrangle at Bowie Park
We will be pulling privet and honeysuckle along the stream bank that was the site for last year’s event. The area still needs help and we are hoping to finish what we started and clear up the precious riparian zone. We will have two work times. The morning group will pull and the afternoon group will replant native species.
Everyone will meet at Shelter #1 to get signed in. Please wear sturdy close-toed shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle. Bring tools if you have them.
Some gloves and tools will be provided; bring your own if you can. Beverages and snacks provided.
Weed Wrangle®-Nashville volunteers will learn, practice, and begin a habit of maintaining an area free of invasive plants. By engaging our neighbors and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we hope to create a movement that will have the greatest impact on the invasive plant population in the Nashville area.
