Opportunity Details
Weed Wrangle at Percy Warner Park
Have some fun with friends as we team up to protect native species and combat the spread of invasive plants. Learn more about how these plants threaten native ecosystems and get your hands dirty as we work to restore the natural integrity of our woodlands.
Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and long-sleeved shirts. Dress for the weather. You will get dirty.
Weed Wrangle®, is a one-day, citywide, volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines and flowering plants.
Weed Wrangle®-Nashville volunteers will learn, practice, and begin a habit of maintaining an area free of invasive plants. By engaging our neighbors and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we hope to create a movement that will have the greatest impact on the invasive plant population in the Nashville area.
