Book Fair and Activities
We are holding a book fair for our kids in Celebration of MLK Day!
We want to give them the opportunity to express interest in books that they can choose, rather than every kid getting the same book.
We are hoping that we will have some volunteers who will be interested in doing some other activities with kids too, such as reading in small groups or coloring with them.
The mission of the McNeilly Center for Children is to provide high quality, affordable early care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, whose parents are working, in job training, or at school. Parenting education and social services are provided for the families of our enrolled children.

Hands On Nashville (HON) encourages all volunteers follow CDC guidelines by getting vaccinated and wearing a mask indoors, including at service opportunities.
However, this project is led by our partner organization, and they will determine COVID safety measures at the event. If you have questions, please reach out to the opportunity coordinator listed below.
If you feel unsafe at a volunteer project, please reach out to hon@hon.org or share your feedback in our post-service survey. Your feedback is invaluable – it will be shared with our partners and used to inform future policy decisions.
