Hack for the Community - Back End Developers #Hack22

The HCA Healthcare Foundation, HCA Healthcare, Greater Nashville Technology Council, and Nashville’s technology community are partnering again, with support from Hands On Nashville’s GeekCause, to host Hack for the Community on April 28-29, 2022 at the Nashville Software School. Back End Developers are needed for the following projects:

Adventure Science Center - Livestream 3D Printing Using open-source platform, Octoprint, to make 3D printing engaging for museum guests through live-stream and notifications. Possibly add archive of time-lapsed print videos if project time allows 2 (full)

Big Brothers Big Sisters - Volunteer Enrollment Journey Streamlining the sign-up process for volunteers who wish to mentor youth utilizing some kind of user portal that integrates Form Assembly and Salesforce into a seamless, easy-to-follow journey from initial inquiry through engagement and evaluation. 1 (full) Salesforce/Database experience a plus
Homework Hotline - In-Depth Reporting App Looking for a simple-to-use, in-depth reporting solution that links all collected data, selects reporting parameters, and creates customized reports to reduce the amount of time spent manipulating data across multiple spreadsheets and documents. 1 (full) SQL - Ability to craft complex queries across multiple datasets and to perform complex calculations
Learning Matters, Inc - Assessment Workflow Portal Looking to build a portal where parents navigate through the necessary steps to attain an assessment for their child. Steps include parent forms, teacher forms, uploading any relevant information, payments, and an online scheduler. 2 (full)  
Nashville Business Incubation Center (NBIC) - Impact Data Collection Seeking a tool to automate reminder process for monthly/annual client data and report outputs. 1 (full) .Net, SQL, Data lake
Nashville Food Project - Educational Walking Tour Digitize the “Stories of the Land” educational walking tour for the Community Farm at Mill Ridge, which currently exists in physical storyboard form onsite. The virtual experience will be accessible from the TNFP website and from QR codes on the physical signs at the farm. 2 (full)  
Sexual Assault Center - Safe Bar App SAC trains bars and alcohol-serving venues to become ‘Safe Bars’ - establishments with training/tools to safely intervene in situations of sexual harassment and assault. This app will provide resources and info to the public, as well as for bar staff to access for guidance on intervention protocols. 4 (full) Python/Django, Heroku
Williamson County CASA - Advocate Portal Staff need a quick and efficient, secure way to provide CASA volunteers with all the information they need to advocate for abused and neglected children. Upgraded website with user permissioning, ability to store & download documents, calendar functionality, continuing education links/resources. 1 (full)
