Creating Seed Packets with Shelby Bottoms Nature Center

The Shelby Bottoms Nature Center is preparing for the annual Seed Exchange in partnership with the Nashville Public Library and they need some volunteers to help pack seeds!

Nature Center staff need a handful of individuals to join them to help separate seeds from dried flowers, create and stamp packaging, and sort seeds into envelopes. This event will be laid-back and inside the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center.

Depending on the weather, there might also be time to do some light gardening (weeding, cleaning up debris, etc.) in the educational garden located just outside the Nature Center -- this is not a requirement, and is just for people who might want to be outdoors instead. Water fountains and restrooms are located in the Nature Center.

Your service will go directly to the dispersal of native seeds to the public! If you'd like to learn more about the Seed Exchange program, you can read about it here on the Nashville Public Library's website: https://library.nashville.org/events/seed-exchange
