Bransford Community Clean-Up

We need your help to help clean and restore the Bransford Community Center, the fields, and the area as a whole. Years and years have passed and the once community gathering place for sports and fun, has suffered from some aging and weathering. It desperately needs some TLC.

The Bransford area of Springfield has been staple in the community for over half a  century. At some point, every Springfield native has a story about playing some sort of sport on the athletic fields there. Some may even go as far back to tell the story of a community pool that once sat on the property. Where the community gathered on hot Middle Tennessee summers to cool off and enjoy friends.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the following project:
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. shift
  • Assist Contractor with Restore/Replace Fencing
  • Clean Up Basketball Court/Pressure Washing
  • Assist Contractor with Laying Sod

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. shift
  • Assist Contractor with Restore/Replace Fencing
  • Tape off and repaint basketball court
  • Assist Contractor with Laying Sod

To end the day there is a 3:00 p.m. youth scrimmage planned. Volunteers are not required for this scrimmage, but all are invited to attend.

The Robertson County Flag Football League has embarked on making the Bransford athletic fields it home for NFL Flag, NHL Street hockey, and possibly other sporting activities and leagues. We are non-profit organization that could certainly use your help and elbow grease to bring this facility back to its former glory! Back to where the kids of the community know they have a safe place to play!
The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
