The MNPS Reading Clinics provide intensive, individualized, one-to-one tutoring using instructional strategies shown by research to promote reading gain. School based Reading Clinics serve students who are performing two or more text levels below their peers. Students are tutored 30 minutes, twice a week during school hours. Our tutors are from local universities, corporations, faith-based organizations and high schools. With clinics located across Davidson County, we are currently serving 750+ students with over 600 volunteers. We ask that volunteers make a weekly commitment of at least one session per week.
