Nashville is powered by volunteers

In even a "normal" year, the people of Nashville spend a great deal of their time and talent serving their neighbors. 2021, however, was anything but normal. Despite all the challenges — because of the challenges — recovering from a bombing, flash flood, and the continued effects of a pandemic and 2020 tornadoes, Nashvillians signed up to serve thousands of times. Hands On Nashville is proud to be part of a community that finds its strength in giving to others. Thank you.

Volunteers support critical ongoing relief efforts

Nashville is in the process of grappling with four devastating events — the March 3, 2020, tornado; the COVID-19 pandemic; the Christmas Day bombing; and the March 2021 flash flooding that devastated neighborhoods particularly in South Nashville. Hands On Nashville is working closely with the City of Nashville, the Office of Emergency Management, and local health officials to support ongoing disaster relief efforts through volunteerism. We are so grateful for the outpouring of support and generosity this community has shown in the past year. There's more work to be done, and we are collaborating with officials and community partners to ensure that work can be done as safely as possible.
