Children's Program Volunteer- Begin Anew- Nashville location #UWGN

Are you a Christian who has a heart for children?
 
Begin Anew is a faith-based education organization working to empower individuals to overcome obstacles caused by poverty by providing education, mentoring, and resources.
 
Begin Anew operates programs at four locations throughout Middle Tennessee (Woodbine, Downtown Nashville, Madison, and Franklin). We offer classes and tutoring to men and women in High School Equivalency, English Language Learning, and Computer and Job Skills Training, together with weekly Bible study.
 
We provide no-cost programming for our students’ children to attend while their parents are learning.
 
Children’s Program Volunteer will agree to uphold the mission, vision, and statement of faith of Begin Anew. Under the guidance and direction of the Children’s Program Coordinator, this volunteer will
assist in conducting age-appropriate activities for the children (infant through 5th grade). This will include

• Bible study
• Help with homework as needed
• Time for play
• Perform other tasks or duties as requested or needed

Service days and times vary by location. All our locations offer evening classes, and our Franklin location also offers daytime classes. We ask that volunteers commit to one 2.5 hour shift each week.

This position requires volunteers to complete an application and pass a background check.  Training and resources will be provided to you by the Children’s Program Coordinator and/or Program Manager.
