Nashville Earth Day 2023!

 
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Nashville Earth Day on Saturday, April 22nd! Volunteers are an integral part of this event and we're so grateful for your willingness to be a part of it. This free, all-ages event is a day to celebrate our amazing planet. It's also a day of education on how to live a more sustainable life.  
 
There will be food trucks, beverage tents, local vendors, music, activities for kids, and a large speakers tent with continuous presentations. All proceeds from this event go to fund environmental projects across Nashville including urban canopy restoration, waterway clean-up, bee pollinator programs and more.   
 
  • Earth Day takes place on Saturday, April 22nd from 11 AM to 6 PM in Centennial Park   
  • Minimum age: 18 years (unless supervised by an adult)  
  • Volunteers should expect to be on their feet for the duration of their shift, please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle (re-filling station provided)    
 
We need approximately 80 people divided into four shifts: 7am to 11am; 10am to 2pm; 2pm to 6pm; and 5pm to 9pm. Duties vary by shift. You are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts. In general 
 
Volunteers will be assisting with:  
  • vendor set-up and registration  
  • parking and bike-valet in partnership with Walk-Bike Nashville   
  • roving the park as recycling Ambassadors educating visitors and minimizing our environmental footprint   
  • helping at our event table with fundraising, surveys and sharing information  
  • tear-down and clean-up
